Canal Plus’ Overseas division has signed two new content deals with The Walt Disney Company. With the first multi-year agreement, the company has secured first and/or second window rights in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa to all content from Walt Disney Pictures, Lucas Film, Marvel Studios, Pixar and Studio Ghibli, as well as access to classic Disney Studios titles. Starting from November, the exclusive rights will cover, among others, all the Star Wars films including the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

The second agreement will see all Disney channels carried on Canal Plus’ Overseas service, including Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior and Disney Cinema.
