Canal+ spins FreeWheel to monetise video ad inventory

    Aiming to optimise and manage advertising inventory across all screens, Vivendi subsidiary and leading French pay-TV provider Canal+ has forged a partnership with premium ad management firm FreeWheel.

    Canal 30 Nov 2016As part of the deal, Canal+’s sales house, Canal+ Régie will integrate FreeWheel’s solutions to fully unify and manage its linear, live streams and video-on-demand (VOD) content inventory across all screens, hoping to more effectively service its advertiser clients.

    “We now have at our disposal a powerful solution that will allow us to unify all our platforms and offer our brand and agency clients an ultra-premium inventory,” explained Canal+ Régie managing director Francine Mayer. “FreeWheel is a key partner to our business strategy that will help us deliver an efficient commercial service that will meet the demands of today’s advertising market.”
