US pay-TV operator Dish Network lost a net 116,000 customers in the third quarter, from a loss the year before of 23,000, with the total reaching 13.643 million from 13.909 million. The figure includes subscribers to its OTT service Sling TV and the satellite service. Dish said it had 736,000 gross additions, compared with 751,000 gross additions the year earlier. The operator lost 20,000 net broadband subscribers in the quarter, bringing its broadband subscriber base to about 593,000. Dish reported revenue up slightly to USD 3.75 billion from 3.75 billion, with the net profit going higher to USD 307 million from 196 million and diluted earnings per share rising to USD 0.64 from 0.42. Pay-TV ARPU for the quarter amounted to USD 89.44 from 86.33. Pay-TV subscriber churn rate was 2.11 percent versus 1.86 percent.
