German TV provider HD+ will raise its technical service feefor its HDTV platform from 15 February next year and add a new channel on 1December. From 15 February, a HD+ extension for 12 months will costEUR 70, up from EUR 60 currently. The UVP for the HD+ card will climb to EUR 75 from EUR65, and the monthly subscription will rise to EUR 5.75 from EUR 5. Retailers can continue to order HD+ cards at the currentprice until 22 December this year. After that, a trading halt will be in placeuntil the new pricing regime comes into practice on 15 February. HD+ extensions can be ordered at the new price from 8February, but cannot be sold until 15 February. HD+ is also adding Eurosport 1 HD to its offering from 1December. The channel recently won exclusive rights to broadcast the OlympicsGames in Germany from 2018 to 2024. This addition brings the number of privateHD channels offered by HD+ to 23.
